Desso Hospitality has unveiled its newest Axminster carpet collection called The Golden Twenties. The collection, created by Desso designers Shelley Beach and Sophie Duran represents a roaring collection based on the twenties.
The twenties were characterized by the decade’s distinctive cultural edge in New York City, Chicago, Paris, Berlin, London, and many other major cities during a period of sustained economic prosperity. The finance and insurance industries doubled and tripled in size. Record-breaking levels of inflation created a prosperity that was widespread through Europe and the United States, making the 1920’s known as the “Golden Twenties”.
Jazz music blossomed creating the Jazz Age and Art Deco peaked in the twenties. New York and Chicago vied in building skyscrapers, and New York pulled ahead with the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building.
The twenties with all its beauty and extraordinary detail was the inspiration for this roaring collection. Creating carpets with opulent colors such as Gold,Brown and Blue which will make, even the most high end hotels and cruise ships look more luxurious.
